Skyla ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Skyla AI Weather app.
Location data: Skyla requests access to your device's location to provide accurate local weather information. Your location is used only to fetch weather data and is never stored on our servers.
Usage data: We store your preferences locally on your device, including your character preference (girl/boy), streak count, family weather locations, and morning briefing time. This data never leaves your device.
Voice data: When you use the voice feature, your weather briefing text is sent to ElevenLabs (our voice provider) to generate audio. No personal information is included in this text.
We use your location solely to fetch weather forecasts from Open-Meteo, a free and open weather API. We do not sell, share, or store your location data.
All app preferences are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. We have no access to this data.

Anthropic Claude: Used to generate personalised weather advice. No personal data is shared beyond anonymous weather conditions.
Nominatim / OpenStreetMap: Used to convert your coordinates into a city name. See their privacy policy at openstreetmap.org
Skyla does not operate any servers that store your personal data. All preferences are stored locally on your device. Weather requests are made directly to open APIs.
Skyla is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Since we do not store any personal data on our servers, there is no data to delete or export. You can clear all local app data at any time by clearing your browser or app storage.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
